The plasterboard suspended ceiling system is a modern, fast and elegant solution for ceiling cladding.
Cladding attached directly to an untreated ceiling on a metal or wooden supporting structure serves primarily to obtain a flat, smooth and easy-to-paint surface. It is most often used in the repair of unfinished ceilings.
With suspended ceilings with a supporting structure, the goal is to reduce the height in the room or to cover the installed installation in the attic cavities.
Depending on the task, two types of constructive solutions for suspended ceilings are offered.
When lining a ceiling with plasterboard plates, where the light height of the room is small (in residential buildings), it is recommended to install a suspended ceiling with a single metal structure of direct hangers.
In the presence of more voluminous installations, typically in administrative buildings, or to reduce the clear height, a suspended ceiling with a double metal construction on adjustable metal hangers is recommended.
In addition, by using suspended ceilings in combination with insulating material mineral wool, additional improvements can be realized:
Saving of heat energy costs due to improvement of thermal insulation.
Improving the sound insulation of an existing untreated ceiling up to 8 dB.
Improving the acoustics and adjusting the sound reflection by means of the perforated acoustic plates.
Increasing building fire protection.
Lighting, ventilation and air-conditioning systems can be seamlessly integrated into the ceiling structures using standard auxiliary materials.
And last but not least, different optical effects can be achieved with plasterboard panels for suspended ceilings.
